Culture & Heritage Tour in Laos 
Destination: Vientiane(Start), Luang Prabang(End)

Welcome to the heart of Laos, Vientiane capital, our guide and driver will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. After a short rest, start to visit the major sights of the capital. The first site is Watt Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to the famous and sacred
structure of That Luang Stupa, stop to take some pictures in the Patuxay Monument which is regarded as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph, then move to the Mekong Riverside and enjoy the outdoor
 activities. Back to the hotel, enjoy the first dinner in Laos. Overnight in Vientiane.

Get up early and enjoy breakfast in the hotel. Next, move to the morning market in
Vientiane before we flight to Xieng Khoang in the afternoon. Upon your arrival, we
will visit the Plain of Jars which is an impressive archaeological site, place hundreds of large stone jars are littered all over the plateau. Then, we visit the old capital of Muang Khoun Province and the nearby villages, home to the Hmong hill tribe and Tai Dam people. They also have an interesting local culture and a colorful history. Have breakfast before visiting Central Market of Phonsavanh to watch different Hil Tribes to barter and exchange merchandises. Then, heading out the small town in Luang Prabang. On the way, we will stop in Thampra which has 200 years old Buddha images and Hmong village along the road. After visiting the village, continue our trip, drive uphill, enjoying mountain splendid natural scenery, forest, and landscape.

Take a rest and have a quick meal before we take over the mountainous region to Luang Prabang. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. After checking into the hotel, we start seeing the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, the shrine of Wat AhamWat Mai. Climbing to the top of Phousi Mount to see the excellent view with an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. Continue our trip in Luang Prabang by the breakfast in the morning, start the fourth day we visit the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents the classical architecture of Luang Prabang Temples. Embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Cave, which displaces thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at Ban Xang Hai, the village famous with local rice wine. On the return, we also visit Ban Phanom where the local weaving made. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

On arrival at the airport, your local guide will fetch you up and escort you to the hotel.
After a long flight, the rest of the day is at your leisure to relax and get used to the city.
Overnight in Luang Prabang

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Our transportation right now is a bicycle which makes it easier to see the highlight of the city. The first destination is the Royal Palace Museum where present many amazing artifacts about royalties in the past in Luang Prabang. On cycling, we also encounter the oldest temple in the city – Wat Xiengthong with the special long roof structure of Laotian classical architecture, the impressive of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham.

Come back to your hotel for lunch and then in the late afternoon, we will make a visit to the Arts and Ethnology Centre to gain acknowledge about Laotian minorities’ culture.  Tasting a cup of local coffee at the center’s café at your choice before reaching the top of Mount Phousi where you can have a chance to witness gilded stupa and see the city from a broader view with the sunset.
In the evening, you will find yourself among the crowd in Luang Prabang Night Market. The interesting thing is that you will be able to see and buy handmade textiles and handicrafts from Laotian tribes in Luang Prabang.

After breakfast, we are heading to Khouangsi Waterfall. During the trip, the vehicle will stop at the morning Phousi Market where all the local foodstuffs and goods are available. Laotian locals usually shop here for all the basic demand for daily life: dried buffalo skin, local tea, saltpeter, poultries, vegetable and fruit, etc.


When you are at the Khouangsi Waterfall, it is a great opportunity for you to immerse yourself in crystal clear water at topaz pools below the falls or have a walk in the forest pathway and visit the Bear Sanctuary.  A picnic lunch will be prepared for you to enjoy the falls.

On returning, we are no longer use the car to travel but instead, we are going to use private boat following Mekong River for sight-seeing along sides of Mekong and for heading to fanciful Pak Ou Caves. There are thousands of gold lacquered Buddha images still existing for hundreds of years.


Get back to Luang Prabang, we leave the boat and decide whether or not take a short drive to visit Ban Phanom, a famous hand-weaving village. If you don’t want to, we can come back to the hotel for relaxation.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.

You will take a short flight from Luang Prabang to Pakse in the morning. On arrival in Paske, we will go to southern part by car to Champassak and take a look at Wat Phu, the enchanting remain of preAngkorian which is very famous as an ancient temple perched at Phu Kao Mount’ top in Southeast Asia. After lunch, we will continue our journey by long tail boat to Si Phan Done where you have the rest of the day to relax or to explore the island.
Overnight in Khong Islands.

Our routine today will start a little bit early so we can have enough time to explore Khone Island. Embarking on Ban Khone, we encounter some old colonial houses and the first Lao railway with its own locomotive built by French.
Then we continue exploring 4000 islands in the area by boat and amazing Liphi waterfall which is known as Samphamith, the natural boundary between Laos and Cambodia. We return to Ban Nakasang and drive to the famous waterfall of Khongphapheng Waterfall the largest waterfall in South East Asia, also known as the ‘Niagara of the East’. Overnight in Khone Islands.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred back to Pakse to catch your flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia or exit Laos overland from the Chongmek International checkpoint to Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand.

Start today by joining in with the local people in the special dawn visit as they gain merit by making food offerings to the local monks on their daily alms collection. Sitting on the roadside, people place a small serving of fresh sticky rice into their bowls. Making an Alms offering has become a deeply spiritual part of everyday life that highlights the spiritualism for Lao people and a part culture of Luang Prabang. If you want to take part in it, you can tell your guide, he/ she will prepare food for you or you can go to the pot near there. After that back to your hotel and enjoy your breakfast.

Note: (If you do not wish to make an offering, please keep an appropriate distance and observe the ritual in silence. Dress appropriately – shoulders, chest, and legs should be covered).

After making the ritual, embark on a two hours boat trip up the Mekong River. Passing many small villages, you will catch in an interesting image, the women in the traditional costume making the textiles or the children playing on the banks, on the way to the limestone Pak Ou Caves. From many times ago, Pak Ou was regarded as a destination for local pilgrimages and devotees also placed their own Buddha statues. On the back journey, drop in the whiskey and weaving villages which are famous by trading hand weaved cloth, stoneware jars and a particularly strong rice whiskey “Lao Lao”

Laos At A Glance
Destination: Vientiane(Start), Luang Prabang(End)

Right after arriving at Vientiane, the first destination that we will visit is the major temples of Vientiane’s area. The oldest is Wat Sisaket which is now still kept many miniature Buddha Statues, and nearby is the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo which is famous for Emerald Buddha Image. Next, we will head to the national symbol of Laos, That Luang Stupa and along the way, there will be opportunities to take some great pictures of majestic Patuxay Monument usually considered as Vientiane’s Arc de Triumph.

COPE Center is the last destination of the day which relates to history. After the Indochina War, it is necessary to create a center to support UXO survivors with the care and need by way of orthotic and prosthetic devices. Therefore, in 1997, this center or museum has been established to help all the victims.

Early breakfast and we will start our journey to the northern part of Laos. After 4 hour driving through the beautiful countryside, then we climb into the mountains. There is a lot of wonderful natural scenery during the trip and we will have a chance to meet a wide range of hill tribes in the local market where they come to trade goods and buy provisions. We will spend our lunchtime in Vang Vieng, more specifically at the Organic Farm. In here, all kinds of traditional Lao food will be served. Moreover, they also offer some goat cheese sample and mulberry wine.

In the afternoon, we will visit the famous Tham Jang Cave. in the past, local people have been used this cave to hide from Chinese invaders during the war. The rest of the day can be spent exploring Van Vieng by foot or bicycle or taking a boat upstream on the river, or just simply being at your leisure at the hotel. Overnight in Vang Vieng.

Today we will spend the whole morning driving through spectacular scenery and numerous hill tribe villages. Your lunch will be carried out at the height of approximately 1,300 meters above the sea level and among endless mountain peaks of this remote region. 
After lunch, we continue heading to Route 13 and arrive in Luang Prabang late afternoon. In the evening, you can choose whether watching the Traditional Baci & Cultural Show or not. Baci is a Phi Ritual used to celebrate important events and occasions in Laos everyday life such as births, marriages, entering the monkhood, departing, returning, beginning a new year, and welcoming or bidding. The basic thing will happen is that locals will type strings around an assigned person’s wrist to maintain good luck to you. During the dinner, the locals will carry out a traditional dance performance. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

This morning, our tour will start on a bicycle to the Royal Palace Museum where exhibits a lot of interesting artifacts from the Royal period since Luang Prabang was once Laos’ capital in the past. Then, there comes the impressive Wat Xiengthong with classical Lao architecture: the long, giant roof spreading low to the ground. Nearby are the outstanding stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham.

ome back to the hotel for lunch and then in the late afternoon, you will explore the Arts and Ethnology Centre to gain more knowledge about Laos’ ethnic cultures. The Mount Phousi is the next stop where the sacred glided stupa presents. From there, you can catch a glimpse of the city from a different view and watch the sun going down on the Mekong River. Descending the mountain, the famous Luang Prabang Night Market is an interesting stop. You will encounter a wide range of local products such as handicrafts, textiles, street food, etc. they are made by both ethnic Lao and hill tribe people in the surrounding area. In the early morning, you might choose to take part in the traditional ritual routine, Alms Giving. There will be a long queue of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings or ‘Alms’ from local residents. This unique custom still exists in Laos, which makes Laos is the only Buddhist nation still maintain this process.
After breakfast, on the way to Khouangsi Waterfall, we will stop at the morning Phousi Market where all the locals do their regular shopping. You will easily find Lao local foodstuff and products such as dried buffalo skin, local tea, saltpeter, poultry, fish, all kinds of meat and fruits, etc.

Once arriving at the Khouangsi Waterfall, especially in the summer, a refreshing swim in the topaz pools below the falls will cool off all the heat immediately. If you are not planning to swim in, you can walk along the forest pathway and visit Bear Sanctuary.

Come back to Luang Prabang, by using our private boat, you are about to enjoy a pleasant and scenic cruise up on the Mekong River to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. This is once a pilgrimage site and now still have thousands of ancient gold lacquered Buddha Images.
Returning to Luang Prabang we disembark our boat and have the option of taking a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village famous for its hand weaving or returning to the hotel for free time to relax. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Today is an interesting day for you. We will head to Living Land Farm, a working
community farm, which is 5 kilometers away from the town. There you will learn all about the ricegrowing process and do all the daily task of a farmer in the seasonal farm such as: as identifying viable rice seeds, plowing with a buffalo, hand planting, weeding, and harvesting rice and threshing rice seed. After a morning spending on the farm, this time is to enjoy the meal. You can pick the fresh vegetables from the organic garden or catch fish to cook for lunch.
